PLF is primarily involved in promoting learning process in order to refine and redefine poverty reduction strategies and methods in the changing context of economic globalisation. To date, it has associated itself with several initiatives that are aimed at providing strategic direction to future actions. Some larger projects completed so far included: |

| Policy imperatives in watershed programmes and experiences in India – informing policy makers through documentation and deliberations. To this end, PLF has promoted a network consisting of WOTR, WASSAN and MANAGE. The network members for over a year have assimilated learning through documentation of experiences in DANIDA watersheds, working groups to discuss on other experiences, and workshops. In the process it has placed before the national commission on watershed policy the thinking on future priorities in the areas of equity, capacity-building, monitoring and evaluation and sustainability. |
