| The PLF has continually endeavoured to provide tools in making development-process more effective and simple. The Poverty Monitoring Tool was developed as a much needed tool to track poverty reduction as integral part of project management. The tool is useful for carrying out concurrent monitoring as well as impact assessment poor. |

| It leads to better planning, sharpening interventions and making necessary adjustments in on-going programmes to improve the outreach by tracking the most vulnerable. Similarly, PLF has been associating with ISEC and IWMI in developing approaches, tools and practices for learning and deepening the poverty focus of development programmes. |

PLF is currently working on poverty mapping, governance, and local institutions and decentralization; and developing a system of planning, monitoring, evaluation and transference into action (PMET) that facilitates poverty agenda in development programmes. |
